We welcome collaboration
Our laboratory welcomes many forms of collaboration — joint research with companies and institutes, and lab affiliation for students. We extend intelligence (software) to machines and their environments to design smarter systems, and we would love to connect that approach with your real-world challenges.
Joint & commissioned research
We apply expertise in reinforcement learning, multi-agent optimisation, and autonomous navigation to real problems. Together with partners such as the National Maritime Research Institute and Panasonic Holdings, we have worked on multi-vessel route optimisation, route planning for aerial delivery robots, and field-robot control. Even a quick "could this help with our problem?" enquiry is very welcome — please feel free to get in touch.
Lab affiliation (for students)
We welcome students interested in artificial intelligence, reinforcement learning, optimisation, and intelligent robots that operate in the real world. See our research topics, and try hands-on work such as our ship simulator. Lab visits and consultations are always welcome — please contact us below.
