I joined the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology in April 2026. I look forward to working with you. I am originally from Tokyo and have lived mostly in urban areas. Before this appointment, I worked as an assistant professor at Okayama University, so after six years I have returned to Tokyo. Somewhat unusually, I have kept in touch with friends from primary school through university, and since moving back we have been getting together again.

I have been researching multi-agent reinforcement learning since I started research as a university student — AI used for things such as the coordinated control of multiple robots. I don’t yet have a fixed vision of the kind of laboratory I want to build, but I hope it can become a base for starting new research and work.

Among my peers in this field I am still relatively early in my career, so I hope to grow together with my students.
