Oral Presentation at the 11th Workshop on Continual Learning and Emergence of Intelligence
Associate Professor Uwano from our laboratory gave an oral presentation at the 11th Workshop on Continual Learning and Emergence of Intelligent Systems. The 11th Workshop on Continual Learning and Emergence of Intelligent Systems is a workshop organised by Associate Professor Yuichiro Toda of Okayama University, focusing on discussions of continual learning in autonomous mobile robots.
The presentation introduced the concepts and initiatives of our laboratory, as well as research outcomes on a multi-vessel path planning method using the distributional reinforcement learning approach IQN (Implicit Quantile Networks). Through the discussion, we gained new insights into challenges related to step-by-step control in reinforcement learning and its application to real vessels, as well as the efficiency of learning.
We will continue to develop our research by drawing on the insights gained on this occasion.
